    Ideal time for taking Plaquenil and side effects? Lupus. According to her, the dizzy and lightheadedness weren't normal side effects of Plaquenil, but the nausea and stomach stuff was. So to make sure it wasn't a bug or anything, she wanted me to go back on it. Then, I was taking it at night, with dinner. For the most part, most of the above symptoms went away.
